Hi, has anyone used wolf precision wax carving tools? I was thinking about investing in some but not sure! I make small animals from wax block, would be nice to have some more flexibility in detailing. Are they strong, do they withstand pressure when carving in the hard wax?

Anyone got any second hand ones they want to sell?

Thanks :)

I just bought the cheap set of 6 and I actually only ever use one tool plus a scribe and file so can't personally see the point of them but it probably depends what you carve and how you like to work.

Yes it is a shame you can't buy the tools individually! I thought about buying a set of six but it's hard to figure out what you would use in advance. Which number range
set did you buy?

Check out Amazon for wax carving tools, I use stainless dental tools like this set; https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rolson-59137-Wax-Carver-Set/dp/B001MJ0JPE @£9.90 for 12 tools, I also use these with a spirit lamp for hot shaping waxes.
Also check out this set; https://www.amazon.co.uk/Stainless-Pottery-Sculpture-Carving-Fettling/dp/B06XCWNTHT/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1510581172&sr=8-7&keywords=stainless+steel+wax+carving+set @£12.98 for 8 tools.
For carving, I would use scorpers mostly.
