Just joined this forum as the posts and discussions seem really helpful.
Love making silver jewellery in particular but very much on a learning curve especially with my nemesis

Hi Jan and welcome to the forum.
We can help with soldering if you ask, but the most persistant problem for beginners, is to work on a piece too large for their hand held mini torch.

Welcome Jan, just takes practice, and following recommended procedure to letter, then when you are proficient you can discard all the rules and still have success, then sometimes even experienced players like myself can
have bad days (just melted some gallery wire while soldering onto the back plate)
There are lots of experienced people here who are wiling to impart their knowledge if you ask.
