Good morning :~: Can anyone recommend the most comfortable type of clip on earring fitting? I had a look in Cookies and unsure if the Omega type (loop) is more comfortable than the standard (pressed out)

I didn't find that any of the clip fittings I bought from Cookson for a customer were fit for purpose. There was no spring in the clip , they were very flimsy and just slid off. I returned them all. I ended up buying a pair that had a clip and a screw which she said was ok and I'd tried them myself. I believe there is a better variety from Rio Grande as they use more clip ons

I only ever buy them for a special request and the customer was happy to pay the extra to get a pair that meant she didn't lose her expensive earrings

I have ones like that, with a hinge as well so that once they have the right screw adjustment they hinge on and off

Agree with Sarah - I only ever use the screw type, and have had very good results with them. They do sometimes need a bit of work hardening, especially if you've soldered onto them, or are using the wire only version, but I'm told they are far more comfortable than any of the alternatives.

My customer didn't want a screw, I don't have pierced ears either and must admit that a screw hurts. The screw and clip/hinge version was the only one that was really secure

Before I had my ears pierced I wore screws or clip ons and they pinch!:'(
I can see me buying a selection just to show her.....

Buy them wholesale while in Hong Kong. I have just about any finding you could want for pearls
