I was intending to write a (positive) review of one of your products on your website but, unlike formerly, for some reason your website now tells me you have to log in via Facebook in order to leave a review. Since I don't have a Facebook account does that rule me out of being able to leave product reviews on your site?

The alternative you give of leaving a review on the forum is puzzling; I can't see a single product review on this forum, nor have I found any product reviews on your website that were obviously written on the forum and have been linked to here from the product page.

Interesting - I must see if that happens for me too.

I'm definitely missing something here, Mark:

Whose Product?
What website?

Am I totally out of touch? Dennis.

It's quite all right, Dennis. I'm out of touch too, otherwise I'd have a FB account.

The subforum I'm posting in here is the Cooksongold customer service feedback forum (see top of page), where they suggest we can ask questions about their products and services - hence my current question addressed directly to them.

Look on the bright side; depending on the answer we get from Cookson to my question, it may turn out not to be just us who are "out of touch".

ETA: Posing a question ("How do I leave a review?") to their automated answer database, I get the following answer:

"Knowing what our customers think is important which is why we have teamed up with review specialists Feefo. Ten days after you purchase from Cooksongold, Feefo will email you on our behalf and ask you to review the products you have purchased and the service you have received- you will also be able to give us a rating! These reviews will allow us to ensure that we constantly improve our customer experience. If you wish to provide some feedback to us directly - you can always call or email our contact centre using the buttons below."

This is disappointingly restrictive. What I wanted to submit a review of was a product I bought from you last year, which I've now had time to properly evaluate, but which your current review system apparently will not now let me publicly evaluate.

Well, if it becomes tricky to do them a good turn, I just give up. Mostly it's 'How would you rate us for supplying you with say, ink?'

Last time I replied' I ordered it, you sent it', what's to rate? Dennis.

I take it that you dont sleep too well either Dennis, 3.27AM is a time better to be spent sleeping. Cooksons are very quick with their deliveries though. Is it just my imagination but we dont seem to be getting all the oldies on here now. I used to look forward to having a chat with them, and of course learning from them, but now most are newbies, which is good keeping young blood, but they dont have time to pass the time of day anymore.

I've never been asked for a review after my order. What I do get is you've looked at something do you want to buy it or you have a basket would you like to finish the process? The most recent basket has been left because after loading over £300 into it during a sale I got £1.27 discount, it can wait!!
