Hello
I'm not an expert beader and wondered if someone could help me with tying a knot in Transparent Beadalon Elasticity for a bracelet please.
Any knot I try just pings open due to the stretch in the elastic.
Heeeelp- how do I make it stay knotted?

Thank you

I found this page with YouTube videos but most bead companies have how to pages https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=tying+a+knot+in+beadalon+elastic&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari
Hope the link works

I think most people just use a surgeon's knot and add a dot of flexible glue before trying to hide it all inside a bead.

superglue immediately springs to mind, but it is a no no for knots, because it makes them stiff and brittle as George has implied.
It is good for stiffening the ends for threading though.

For knots you might browse here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=gs+hypo+cement+glue&tag=googhydr-21&index=aps&hvadid=28639348140&hvpos=1t2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13417325521847668507&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9045899&hvtargid=kwd-16245641196&ref=pd_sl_86n6w9gabr_b

We do about three reef knots then neaten that by tying the knot into an overhand.

Must admit I've never tried to tie knots in it - on the rare occasions I've used stretchy elastic I've used a crimp tube to join the two ends. I also tend to use two separate strands of elastic when possible - I'm never quite prepared to trust just one!
