Guilded flowers

Hi !!

I've just seen some Roses that are real but they are covered in Silver !!!!

Is this a real rose or is it a gimmick ? If it is real, will they die ? And if they are real, then how would you make them ?

It is possible to spray flowers with zinc galvanising spray coating, then when dry it can be silver plated. Just for info Gilding is gold plating so if you wanted a gilt flower you would zinc spray, silver plate, then gold plate.

Or you could just make a rose from metal, like this life size rose I made some years ago.
