Hi all - I have a sievert running on propane - until this eve all has been fine. Now I can't get the torch to stay lit for more than a minute and it seems very noisy - I've checked all my connections and the tank isn't empty - any ideas?

Have you looked inside the torch head to see whether it's blocked? When my Orca torch started to malfunction a while back I found a gunky residue had accumulated in the head of the torch. Once I had cleaned this out everything worked a treat again.
There's some information here that may be of use:

I have been known to boil the burner in washing soda and water to degrease

I have a sievert plumbers torch that screws direct to the top of a slim refillable propane bottle. It started playing up after a couple of years faithful service.

With nothing to lose I took it apart and found the tiny jet oily and gunky. I unscrewed it and put it in my ultrasonic cleaner for a bit then wiped, blew, poked and prodded it as best I could (be aware the tiny orifice is critical so don't be too aggressive). All was good after this treatment.
