Hello,

I've just remembered seeing a set of round pliers which had measurements engraved into the arms/prongs so you could make the correct length of wire without having to pre-cut the wire beforehand...I'm unsure of the actual length of wire I'd need if I wanted a jump ring for a 5mm stone,

Does anyone know the pliers I am on about ? Thank you

This has been a recurrent theme in the last few days. A simple way to make the jump ring you want is to have a cheap set of twist drills to hand (the more drills the better) and wind the wire around the stem. Then cut it with a fine sawblade.

So if you want 5.mm o/s dimension, and you are using say 0.7mm wire, you would use the stem of a 3.5mm drill. Dennis.
