I am working on a series of single stone rings at the moment.
'Less is more' sometimes.
The round stone is a Citrine and the pear shape is a Lemontrine

(Hmm...it seems it turned my image 45 degrees. Hope it's still clear.)

Not so much less. They're quite big stones. Pretty result. Dennis.

Hi Marlies
welcome to the forum
Those look great, though I'm not familiar with 'lemontrine' is that just citrine and a play on the shape?
You have a tidy result with good sized stones; things get a trickier with decreasing size.

Appealing name, but if you suck it and see, you will find it listed in A E Ward's stone room as Lemon Quartz which doesn't sound quite so romantic.

I've bought it in Holland and there it was called Lemontrine, but have seen it here as lemon quartz or lemon trine quartz.
It has a lovely pale colour.

From research elsewhere it appears lemon trine quartz tends to be irradiated.
Just wondered what the difference was, since obviously the "citr" of citrine refers to citron or lemon, hence my confusion. Apparently most present day citrine is heated amethyst.
