Your keyboard might be your best friend, until you accidentally hit the caps lock button. Then you curse the line of unwanted upper case letters.

This has been happening to me lately, but if you Google ‘disable caps lock’ you might not dare to try that.

So as an alternative, I found some textured copper and made a loose fitting bezel cup, to drop over the button. It is coloured with a little Noirit and stays in place by its own weight.

No, caps lock button, it’s no use banging and shouting. I’m not letting you out of there. Dennis

That is such a clever little thing you've just made! I don't remember ever finding the capslock key anything but VERY ANNOYING.

(I'm on a mac right now and disabling it just takes a couple of clicks)

Glad you liked the idea, Marna and Wallace. Could there be a niche market for bespoke caps? Easier than fingerprint jewellery after all. Dennis.

Shift F3 used to toggle between upper and lower case in word on a windows pc; not sure whether this is still the case though.
