I'm a hobby jeweller and have only been doing it for a few years in a very disorganised and piece-meal way.
I started with plated wire and beads and have recently moved into making chain mail jewellery after being inspired by a book.
Following the chain mail work I bought my first sterling silver jump rings and wire last month to work on something for me - but thanks to a colleague at work I may have my first commission! Guess I better get organised with that, although I'm hoping to use the cookson gold forums to work out what to charge etc.
I am (also) a computer programmer by trade (there seems to be a number of us about) working for a large financial services firm.
I'm looking to start working with argentium silver too as I like the idea of silver that does not tarnish so quickly.
