I did contemporary applied arts at uni and discovered my love of jewellery making there. Jewellery tuition was 5 hours a week so I'm basically self taught!I work in a retail jewellers full time since I left 5 years ago and I am trying very hard in my spare time to make jewellery to sell for some spare money with a view to being full time one day. At uni I was fabricating forms and incorporating ball bearings to create sound. I have recently had an obsession with bending wire in to pieces inspired by vintage American style tattoos, but have always had a love of gemstones too and now I am trying my hand at stone setting and things. I don't think I have a particular sort of stuff I make yet even after all this time! I tend to get stuck and lose confidence but right now I'm on a big drive to get over it and get my stuff out there! [emoji1]

Sounds great!! Keep exploring and you'll find what you love doing. Mine is definitely saw piercing......but I love gemstones and incorporate them in lots of my work!!
