It's getting dark in the morning again and I discovered the first daddy long-legs of the year floating upside down in my cup of tea today, which can mean only one thing - Christmas is coming!

Anybody got any Christmassy jewellery ideas floating around that they would like to show us?

By the way, if you didn't put your sprouts on the boil back in April, they aint gonna be ready for Christmas day.#-o

Go get out of here Ben with you blasphemes. The best thing for a daddy long legs is a vacuum cleaner and a hubby.

Well I must need an army of cleaners - and they'll all be men! I get the things in my house, garage, shed, all year round. But I'm told that it is supposed to mean a happy house. Well that's my story and I'm sticking with it.

"the first daddy long legs.... in your cup of tea"? How many do you get?

The damn things are like lemmings hurtling off a cliff in the jewellery quarter - have to drink through a mesh this time of year - and the dog's no help either - he has a good go at knocking the cabinets over chasing them round the showroom.

the jewellery quarter really is a dickensian filth hole of squalor and depravity

Now there's a cheery image :) mind you the building I'm in is quite modern at early seventies and I've only ever had one mouse run over my foot - setting a diamond at the time and nearly shot through the roof - dog was no good again either, he sat quivering under the desk - I might trade him in for a real one I think, calls himself a Doberman - more like a Doberwoman if you ask me :)

Can you please not mention the 'C' word just yet as it really depresses me. :'(

I work for Tesco so that means long shifts until stupid o'clock in the evening, lots of children wrecking the place and grumpy customers who can't get what they want 'cos they've left it too late.

Also absolutely no time for making things, all I'm good for is eating something quick and falling into bed. I-)

Another also is I've not planned properly and don't really have enough stock for my November party #-o

Oh and me to Annie, have they not got the 'not to be mentioned' decorations out at tescos yet. All three of my kids have birthdays 'before the not to be mentioned' word the last been on 21st Dec, oh and she only want a laptop this year!

Find a store with a catalogue outlet to look at, or on-line. They have a new catalogue out in 9 days so are selling discontinued stock at reduced prices (including laptops). BTW the Quality Street tins are already in my store!

:Y:

The Dragon

No B.O.G.O.F. not sure of the price yet, they were going out as I left. However the first of our not to be mentioned stock is coming in next week! Suppose they had to wait until all the kids are back at school. #-o

Sorry - we've gone off topic here a little.

What are you guys planning for the not to be mentioned? Is anyone doing parties or fairs?

There are two C words that should be banned in this thread!

(and no I'm no being insulting! =:-O Just feeling the wedding diet!)

I'm going to eat so much C when the wedding is over that I'll be sick of it by C.
