Half hard wire?

I'm fairly new to all of this, can anyone tell me if I should be using hard or half-hard silver wire for my jewellery projects?

Hi Lois,

It's difficult to say without knowing what you are making. Anything that needs soldering will become soft anyway, so you might as well start off with soft. Hard is for things that won't be heated and that require strength such as ear wires or brooch pins.
