Hi! a sunny hello to everyone!
I am a self taught amateur striving to improve my skills and knowledge and very much enjoying the whole process!
I have returned to art after more or less giving it up whilst I was a nurse and had 4 children. The day my youngest started school I said, right, heres my chance!
What I would really like to say is a huge thank you to this forum. It has given me such courage to see not only how amazingly generous you are with your time and knowledge, but that not everyone has come from an Arts degree background. The atmosphere on here is so honest and helpful, it has helped me have a "can do" attitude to my silver. So thanks!

Hi Sam,

I definitely don't have an arts degree background - Biology and Software Development for me :)

Welcome Sam!

You will find people from all walks of life here. I am not from an arts background either, MSc in animal genetics, work as technical statistics assistant and then taught myself graphics and software development and worked as a mobile phone software developer, before starting up web design and development company with husband plus also now making and selling jewellery mainly online. So you get all sorts!! :)

And you are right, this forum is ace when it comes to picking up new tips and tricks and I learn all the time too!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm sure it won't be long before I'm along with a naive question or other.
