What would be the best way to do this please?
The leather is 500mm wide and 35mm thick and I want to attach a 0.7mm thick 30mm by 70mm silver plaque.
I was thinking of soldering 2 strips of flat silver on they went through the leather and then opened up on the back, maybe 0.5mm thick by 3mm wide or so, any thoughts?

Thanks :)

Are you familiar with saddlers' rivets?

Thanks Peter,
Yes I have some rivets but could only find them in nickel and the customer is allergic to nickel, should I just make them?

Not sure I'm quite grasping the measurements here (sounds like a very, very wide bracelet!) but if you're making what I think you are I've made a few of these, usually with names on, for my horsehair jewellery makers, and usually add a fairly short (3mm ish) round or rectangular slider tube to either end of the bar to match the leather size which can then slide on and off.

You could easily rivet it, but I found having both ends attached meant the bar was less likely to catch or deform with wear.
