Hey guys,

Could anyone tell me how to make a ring with a fingerprint inside? Had thought about using wax, but then it would be difficult to get a perfect circle. Rhino could be an option. Had also thought about making a normal band, then soldering a thin cast fingerprint inside, but could end up looking rather clumsy. Anyone got any tips?

Cheers,

Paul.

I did this video a while back for someone else but it sort of covers what you want except you would need to flow it onto the inside surface of the ring and have it grown instead of milled the finger print pattern was made by importing the fingerprint with 'pictureframe' command and then tracing around it with a curve and extruding it into a solid,I cant find the first parts of the video but if its of any use I can have a look.

Thanks. If I were to use rhino, do you know a place where I could get it printed?
