Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone had any advice on how to do this?

I'm interested in having a play, but I can't work out how it would be done without damaging the stone?

Could well be electroformed.

it's electroformed for sure. They are cheap as chips (snort) if you buy direct from China. I do think they look kinda cool though.

Thanks. Yes the rolled edge of the metal is very attractive and suggests electroforming.

If I tried to make it, I would skip the anode/cathode stuff and partly form some 0.3 mm, or even thinner fine metal, flame the edges for that rolled effect, solder on some jump rings and then insert the stone and burnish the metal home.

I would definitely try it in fine silver first though. Dennis.
