Platinol Oxidising Solution...Help!

Hello. I was using this yesterday for only the second time to odxidise some silver earring hooks and I wasn't as careful as I should haver been:( I took off a silver ring and laid it on my workbench, not realising there was a drop of Platinol oxiding solution on it. Today my ring has a couple of unsightly dark grey streaks.

Can anyone suggest how I might remove them? I'm fairly new to jewellery making so apologies if the answer is a straightforward one.

That's Platinol for you. It will polish off with whatever method you have, even Brasso, or Silvo on a cloth. Welcome to the forum, Dennis.
