I'm not very good at introductions, but after lurking for a while I thought I should
I hadn't done much jewellery for while but after being requested to make some lampwork beads for Christmas I realised how much I miss making things so I am starting to get back into things, hence joining the forum :D
I've taken courses on silversmithing and fused glass/lampworking but those are not really practical for me at the moment so I'm mostly experimenting with other media
and thats about it!

Hi Bunki from another newbie, based in Wiltshire. I love lampwork beads and am thinking about incorporating some into my chainmaille :-)

Welcome to the forum Bunki. I do like a bit of mixed media myself, so looking forward to seeing what you make when you have time. :)

Hi, this is my first time on the Forum. I have just set pearls with Araldite glue and the setting has gone wrong. Is there anyone out there who knows how to losen the glue so I can remove the pearls without damaging them.

I have what is perhaps the most expensive solution going... Using a laser welder with the power dialled way down you can heat *just* the area behind the post, softening the adhesive without risking the pearl. There's bound to be other solutions (Pearlescence is the person to ask) but if you get stuck - sorry, no pun intended - then I can do it for you.

hello :D
Pearlessence (Wendy) may come and give a solution to the pearl thing. My advice would start a pearl war, I am sure.
hope you get it sorted.
kindest,
Wallace
