Hello everyone,

I'm a newbie so thought I'd say a quick hello to everyone!

I'm a hobbyist really and loads to learn and lots of help and guidance always welcome.

Originally from the Midlands (I used to work 5 minutes away from Cooksons, which used to make my lunch breaks very expensive!) but have moved to Cornwall and joined the local Silversmith courses to ensure I keep on learning and practicing.

Nice to 'meet' you all anyway :~:

Hi all,

Thanks for the messages.

I'm at Falmouth Adult Ed (Tregenver Road) where the excellent Rebecca Walklett runs a beginners course. I've completed the same course a few times now, but the timings are convenient and Rebecca let's us get on with projects and still introduces new techniques as we go.

Happy to be here, and in the South West!!

Thanks Tabby, in fact my first class was at Stafford, I cannot remember the teachers name but he was excellent too, I was living in North Shropshire on the border with Staffordshire before moving down to Cornwall. That was it then, I had the bug!

Welcome.
Good to hear from a 'near' neighbour
(I live in Tavistock Devon)
You have the best of both worlds. A great hobby in a great part of the country!

All the best
Tim

Yes it was, what a coincidence? He retired the same time I left to come to Cornwall, I was only there a few terms but loved it and Phil was excellent in my humble opinion.

Thanks all for the great welcome.

what about the boys? or the girls who like atheistic ugly?

Hate it when people get all exclusive like that.
