People go on that enamelling is the most rewarding jewellery making technique there is. What I'm not too sure about is... is it really worth it?
It's clearly the most time consuming and potential frustrating thing a jeweller can do. How do you guys feel about this. It would be great to gauge some response! Would also love to see some of your finshed pieces - as I must admit you can achieve some incredible results.

I just did a day course in enamelling and loved it! Fully intend to get started when the funds allow. Perhaps you could do a day course to? just to get a taste

Well I got a kit off Freecycle (it's only a 1970's Enamelaire) with lots of bits and bobs like blanks and tubes of enamel powders etc which sat in a box for a year and a half until today.

I have to say it's infuriatingly laborious and I'm not the most patient person in the world and being only a tiny kiln type thing I don't see how I could make it cost effective.

However I might try my hand at cold enamelling and see how it compares!
