Despite protestations to the contrary, I am convinced that necks get shorter over time. Or maybe people just get more tetchy.
Here for instance are my heamatite earrings, made to go with a tumbled stone necklace and returned to me as they catch on collars, so would I please re-make them.
Unfortunately they were photographed upside down for convenience, which does not help to make my point. They also show the dreaded pin pricks, due to needles in the tumbler, which I have since given up.
The second picture shows the necklace and the third, my re-make. If you make jewellery for family and friends, be prepared to this from time to time. Dennis.
