Does anyone know where I can buy this in small quantities? Ideally by post? I found one site but it was by the 30ltre load. Any enamellers out there, where you you go?

I see some advertised on eBay in 1 litre bottles at £23.50 including next day delivery; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hydrofluoric-Acid-48-ACS-1L-/160919515110?pt=UK_BOI_Medical_Lab_Equipment_Lab_S upplies_ET&hash=item25778cefe6

I hope I'm not teaching you to suck eggs.:)
This is really nasty stuff, have a read of a MSDS (http://fscimage.fishersci.com/msds/11171.htm)before you use it.
Skin exposure is initially painless, later it really can start to get serious.
I'm amazed it doesn't need to be transported under ADR transport regs.
I didn't realise it was used in this craft - how is it used?

I've been using it for a few years now to strip old enamel. And yeah, it is hideous stuff and I'm very very careful! I think the fact that it can dissolve the lenses in your eyes is the least of its horrors!
