If you buy 0.4mm or 0.5mm copper sheet and cut some strips, they will be soft enough when annealed to be perfect for rub down bezels. If need be you can planish copper with a smooth faced hammer on a steel block until it is thin enough and then re anneal.

At this stage you might also get yourself some 6" digital calipers to measure your bezels and of course your stones. Dennis
