Hi all,

Wondering if anyone can recommend somewhere that does really luxury, possibly bespoke, ring boxes? I am especially interested in finding cocktail ring boxes where there is plenty of headroom and one of those little ring shank hooks (rather than the usual groove where you seat the ring between two cushioned bits.)

I would love something a bit different and interesting and I don't need many of them so I can pay a bit for them. Doesn't need to be UK based.

Thanks in advance!
Glowpear.

For special presentation or custom shaped boxes I have used the company Jewel Display, based in Suffolk, they will make any box any way you wish. See; http://www.jeweldisplay.com/

Thank you Goldsmith! They have beautiful boxes, definitely something special (might even get one for myself...) but I am also keen for something a bit funky too for some contemporary cocktail rings if anyone has any other ideas.

Thanks Dennis - did you have a specific site in mind from that google search? Thank you!

No, I just get a selection of dark blue boxes from Lynco, but then I can call in when I'm around Hatton Garden. Unfortunately their website is not very inviting, but they do decorated boxes too.

When I posted that link I was going to add 'don't stay up all night', but thought it was probably too cheeky. regards, Dennis.

Thanks Dennis. Have trawled the web and as you say too many of the sites are, well, uninviting to say the least. When I was in the states I got some really great cocktail ring boxes - beautifully handmade and with creative designs like snakeskin leather exterior and real satin interior and one with a funky slide action mechanism etc etc and also in India I once saw some incredible boxes that were like pieces of artwork in themselves - one was polished wood with a net of intricate silver lace over the top and custom interior. Was a poor student so didn't get any but have been lusting after beautiful and unusual boxes ever since.

Perhaps not what you're after, but I noticed these http://www.goldschmiedebedarf.de/product_info.php?cPath=130_151&products_id=24447 in the new fischer leaflet this morning, and thought they were rather fun.

Those boxes look wicked - and not bad prices either! Definatly getting a wee stock in of those!

ahhh those are lovely! If one is going for a one off, what kind of price are you looking at (suspect this is a case of if you have to ask, you can't afford it!)

Hi Liz,

These boxes are custom made to my jobs, the paper knife case was 12" x 4" , covered in fine leather and cost me circa £100.
Below is a more elaborate case made for one of my flowers. This one cost me £350.

That is actually far more reasonable than I expected! Thanks!
