Polishing after Casting

Hi,

I was looking into the process of making a 2" medal with a company logo and company name. My understanding was that the use of a die was the best way forward but it is incredibly expensive and looks like a non-runner.

I had investigated getting the medal cast but wasn't sure how to polish the medal to a high polish without losing definition and ensuring that medals were identical. Does anybody know a way of doing this?
