Your customers favorite gems

continuing the discussion from a different angle, what stone do you get asked for most, or do you find you sell most of?

I recently camevacross an Artist that sculpted in gold, but then paintd the artifact black! It meant something to him and a select customer base. However some of our art, needs to have comercial apeal in order to support the specialist items for which he market is smaller.

Tourmalines and peridots. Marquise seem to be a favourite for the tourmalines, which is handy because I like setting them. I have not as yet let anybody near my stash of opals and the way things are going I am not likely to either for the foreseeable future as I like them too much so they are staying with me.
