Hi everyone,

I'm Suzanne. What a great forum! Thank you to everyone who takes the time to contribute.
I've just discovered Cookson Gold and I'm looking forward to chatting with you all.

I started making jewellery in Jan 2011 as part of a fundraising challenge for the Hospice at Home and have fallen completely in love with the process. The challenge ended in Jan 2012 but I don't want to give up making jewellery so I'm going to try to turn it into a small business venture to at least fund my supplies! I'm making costume jewellery at the moment with beads and pendants that I buy in. I'm really looking forward to learning lots of new techniques and making more components myself.

If anyone has any suggestions regarding great new techniques for a beginner to try, I'd be delighted to hear them.

there is a lot of info available here - there is an amazing amount all for the searching. Basic sawing skills, drilling, soldering and filing and much more are here.
