Does anybody have any experience of having a custom hand stamp made with a small logo? By small I mean around 3mm square impression size I have been quoted £125.00 + vat and have no clue if this is a reasonable sum.

Just to be clear I am not talking of a sponsors mark, but a graphic of my logo.

I recall a link somewhere to stamp makers - I'm pretty sure it was James that posted it.

or there's these guys on ebay

Thanks George Everstamps are a little cheaper and I will get in touch with the other company for a quote.

Hi
I had mine made by infinity stamps in the USA, a couple of years ago. You can also have a 'stamp mate' to go with your stamp, so the impression is always clear and in the right place. They sell the tags as well.

I was quoted £60 for a 3mm stamp with a medusa head logo on it by these guys... http://www.eyreandbaxter.co.uk/steel_handstamps_steel_type_dies.html

I never actually got around to it though.

That is a great price Medusa, I have already messaged them with my logo but have not heard back as yet. Everstamp just let me know they want around £115 inc postage so they are currently the cheapest.

I hope I can get it down as the logo is quite simple, being like my forum avi but with diamond shaped eyes.

I think they took a couple of days, but they were very helpful. I might still get it done.

Medusa, after quite a long wait due to the guy at Eyre and Baxter having been unwell, I have finally been given a quote (in the last ten minutes) and you are spot on, well give or take a pound or two £62 + post + vat is by far the better deal and he/they is/are in the UK (not that I am) so he gets my cash. Many thanks for the info.

I think I might have driven the poor guy nuts over this last couple of months hahhahah, though I did leave it a couple of weeks between coaxing emails.

that's very restrained of you, Kwant. I give people a week and then unless they say they are ill or something, then I make like the squeaky wheel to get my oil.

A little update on the stamp Medusa, I still don't have it :0) I think they must nibble the design in the steel with their teeth as it has taken so long. Last I heard they were waiting for a batch to be hardened. Only mention it as I see you are around :0)

Deposit????? hmmm now I think of it no I paid in full. I don't mind it is just a vanity thing and it will come in the end.

But Baxter and Eyre nice as they are to deal with, are a little on the dramatic side, more so than even I.

I am Tabby I love it, well worth the VERY long wait.......... but to be fair the man I was dealing with Mr Baxter (I think) had some health issues which put his schedule back considerably.
