Hiya welcome to the madhouse, Nic tries vainly to keep us under control but i am afraid we are a lost cause, we are totally addicted to our crafts and this forum, and have alllllllllll ranges of experience to help, advise or just get support from. You have found a great home :D

Just think, your addiction could be far worse than crafting. A crafting addiction is officially a Good Thing.

:~: pleased to meet you.

Hi Jacky. :~:. Yes indeed...what a name!! So many questions!! Is it music related?? ..gemstone related?? ....or are you simply an 'old fossil' reliving your childhood...like sooooo many of us on this forum!! What ever the inspiration I'm sure you will love this forum....it is tailored to fit all addicts of the 'crafty' kind!!

Hi Jacky, and welcome from me too!

What sort of things do you make?

A mess usually!! :) I have started making jewellery - nothing fancy yet, just learning the basics really, I want to do a course but haven't got around to looking for one yet. I like the idea of silversmithing though. I make cards, knit, sew - anything crafty really. I do have a horrible habit though, once I can do it I put it down and take ages to go back to it so I am trying really hard not to do that with the jewellery as silver isn't that cheap!

You are in excellent company - lots of us suffer from the same affliction :(|

You guys are making me feel so at home here.....so good to know. Whenever I tell friends about my latest passion....I get a general air of 'oh yeah, coz u need another hobbby'.
I am also determined to stick with the jewellery making and working with silver....BUT it means I must not go to any craft fairs or shops and think...'ooooo thats pretty/ sparkly/lovely, I need to learn how to do that'.

LOL, it is a hazard of the occupation.... I have done: knitting, cross stitch, needlework, weaving, rubber stamping, glass painting, pergamano, quilling, encaustic art, silk painting, hole punching, beading, polymer clay, felting.......but the jewellery has lasted longer than anything (I still felt)
