Hi everyone! I am a newbie here, very glad to have found the sit as it looks really useful. I am also a newbie to jewellery making. i went on a fantastic course a month ago, learnt the basics and have been tinkering away ever since. Im fortunate in that i work nights at a homeless shelter and i can get on with whatever i want when its quiet.
i have wanted to do this silversmithing thing for so long, ever since i made a brooch for my mum when i was in India 5 years ago. this brooch turned out really well and received lots of compliments! in between then and now i've never had time to knuckle down and get on with it, but i do now! i suppose my longish term aim to to get an etsy site up and running before too long.
anyway, it's nice to be here as you seem like a knowledgeable and experienced community.
