Hi there
I am new to polymer clay and have read that long term it's better to use a separate table top oven rather than the one you use for cooking.
I would like to know from you polymer clay artists if you use a separate oven and what you are using - I was thinking of getting one from Argos.

Thanks for reading
Helen

Hi...I don't really do a lot of polymer clay stuff, but when I have, the smell sure does seem to hang around in the kitchen for a while...which I've always thought can't be great the next time you put dinner in the oven. Will be interested to see if anyone knows of any dinky little ovens :-)

I use my normal oven but put the polymer in a covered roasting dish
and heat the oven empty b4 I use it again :)

I use a toaster oven, a Delonghi from Argos. I use polymer a lot though and my little oven has a little build up so god knows what my main oven would look like!

I just saw the replies today. Thanks for your replies - I might invest in a separate oven. Which Delonghi do you use Lou?

Spotted this the other day on the ALDI website, presume it's similar to the one Lou is mentioning?

Does a mini oven type thing get to the right heat though? I thought the temp for PMC needed to be really high?

These ovens are just for polymer clay, not PMC.
