I love making these leaves from silver paste, these ones have been oxidized and then coloured with pencils, thanks for looking :)

very cool!!! Do you have to seal the coloured pencil so it doesn't wear off?

Wow! I had no idea you could use colouring pencils. And have no idea how you'd do it.
They are stunning Lou.

The Prismacolors are really lovely to work with, even if you do need a second mortgage to but them LOL!

Cathy - I seal mine with Renaissance Wax

Sealed these with liquid fimo, really small amount.

They're really very effective. I bought some prismacolor from ebay and they're fantastic - you'll love them. Another vote for Renaissance wax for sealing.

I really don't understand how it can be possible to colour in the silver. Can anyone explain or is it a trade secret?!

Gem i really need someone to explain to me why you take all that time to make the leaves in Silver then colour them all over to look like mouldy old leaves :D

The silver needs to have a rough surface to take the colour and thats it!

I know I was kidding! I am just experimenting, my first time using the pencils and I have had these leaves lying around since last year so I thought I would try something different.

Thanks Lou!
No probs :)
