This is a 5mm donut cut CZ flush set in silver - tricky to set, but stunning.

Wow! I love this.

I wonder if you'd share a bit about it? is it a precast tube setting?(as apposed to larger tube -with a seat cut) Did you use a piece of smaller tubing in the centre? I"ve made lampwork donuts set in bezel with a tube in the middle....but this is way WAY nicer.

These invisible CZs are in fact extremely rare .No insurer will take them on.

well I am sorry Dennis but I have been looking at this all day.... I can see a lovely bit of silver but no CZ... has the date anything to do with it? If not I need to know

What a silly man. I know it is April Fools Day but I assumed that everybody here was mature and adult, obviously not. To take the time fabricating something so daft as well, wish I had that much spare time on my hands.

Perhaps Dave, a very talented jeweller and a friend of mine, could have made a fondant flower instead.

CeliaDM

Well a fondant flower wouldn't have been very funny at all. It is rather immature though don't you think Sunnybank?

OMG Dave, you had me going there. I know my eyes aren't great and I just assumed the stones were there somewhere! I love silly men!

No .......................... it raised a smile to most people, you need to lighten up Celia.

I am not being rude am I Sunnybank? I think I am just under a lot of stress at the moment, Gerald is driving me up the wall and I get a little short I think, he is moaning about where he left his glasses, he does this daily, puts them somewhere and then loses them plus I had my son Byron visit today with his new flatmate Simon and I really do not like him, he makes me feel very uncomfortable and I have no idea why.

Thanks Carole - Love you too Xx

The stone was there - (it just got slightly overlaid with a bit of a hole . . )

Some people seem to have had a sense of humour failure . . After all it IS April Fools Day

Clever old stick. I've been coming backwards and forwards to that all day, convinced it was a bit of hammered silver with no stone. Then people began to say they liked it and I'm thinking, oh yeah, Emperor's New Clothes syndrome - or am I a complete philistine! Good one, biggie. And even better now I've seen how you did it.

Nice one Dave!! (Was waiting for you to own up, lol)
Celia - I suspect that you have plenty of time on your hands and by the wonderful non-responses of folk here,
I'm guessing we're a lot more mature than you were expecting...

It convinced me! Very funny :) Quite liked the idea of a donut CZ. Maybe you should start manufacturing them....

Yeah..It is good to look. Why only silver?? Does this donut cut wouldn't suit for other jewelery materials??
