Here's how that bangle turned out that I cast the ball ends for (using Delft clay (http://www.cooksongold.com/forum/jewellery-hints-tips-tutorials/2248-my-first-delft-experience-step-step.html))

How lovely. I'll bet twisting that wire was tricky. A real labour of love.

How thick was that wire you twisted!!! Blimey. Very nice.

Thank you Gemma!
Carole: Yep twisting the wire was quite hard for me. I had to buy a bigger vice as my small one didn't have enough grip!
Anne The wires are 3mm each and the ball ends are about 1cm diameter :)

Blimey, that's 6mm you twisted. You must have massive muscles! I struggle with 4mm. Is it for a commission Nic?

Thanks Sunny!
Carole ~ it's a commission for a gent who likes his jewellery very solid! :D
Like most makers here I look at the little twist on the right that didn't quite twist enough...
(rather than all the twists that did, lol)

It's great Nic. I must have a go with my Delft - marking keeps getting in the way!!

I do that with everything haha (even the kitchen cabinet that isn't quite straight and the one tile in the bathroom that is upside down), but no-one else notices.

It is MAGNIFICENT though Nic!!!!

Fantastic piece Nic!

With such a thick wire, I take it you needed a fair amount of heat to solder the beads onto the wire. What type of torch did you use?

I would never have seen that tiny error if you had not pointed it out to me Nic, anyway it's some weighty piece, looks good mate:Y:

I used a Rothenberger Oxy Propane Torch

Thanks Maggie! Makes me feel better to know it's only me who'd spot it, lol

Oh, good golly, what a truly sublime piece. I simply cannot believe that you crafted that by hand, I would love to reach a point where I can physically craft silver into a wearable work of art.

but it dident twist very well in the middle either, when you are doing a piece with this thickness wire you really need to over estimate the amount of wire you use and then cur off the ends, nice balls though Nic :)x

Yes is definately a lovely bracelet Nic - well done!

I'm very good at focusing on the inperfections in my work too...
I've just spent the best part of an hour trying to get two leaves to look the same...

which reminds me, they need rescuing from the tumbler...

Are you looking at the same piece as I am? It is truly wonderful, there is always someone who can find fault in something which is faultless.

That's a very hefty bangle Nic! Can't imagine how hard it must have been to form that.
Was the customer pleased?
