Hi everyone, I've finally decided to take the plunge and buy myself a kiln for PMC (and hopefully enamelling later this year):D. I've read everyone's advice about possible kilns in other threads but just wondered whether getting a kiln with a programmer is actually needed? I've found a good deal on a Prometheus Pro-1 (no programmer) but also recognise the capabilities and larger chamber of the Paragon SC2 (with programmer). Had my eye on a Skutt Firebox 8 with a nice shiney outer but don't think that's an option based on previous advice about top openers and enamelling! Basically, I'm stuck now and can't decide which to go for. Can anyone help me please?[-o<

Thanks,
Fi

If you can afford the one with a programmer then you wont regret it
(especially for those things which require multiple temp firing e.g. bronze clays)

I absolutely love my Paragon SC2. Mind you I just leave it on the same programme as I use it for enamelling.

Ooh, thank you. :Y: I suppose the credit card is going to get a bit of a bashing then as I think the Paragon SC2 it is!
