try searching for market stall suppliers they will often build anything to your specs, including making the bars small for fitting in a car. great stability and easy to attach displays too.

a lot of people use bolt together racking which utilise hooks to display items. This is because they pack down flat and dont weigh too much. I would suggest Display stnds ltd of the Portsmouth area would be a good place to start looking. They sell on ebay as well.
