Activated Charcoal

is there different types? I found some for fish tanks... will it be the same thing? I believe for bronze and copper clay it's the type used in water filtration :help:

No please don't buy the charcoal used to filter fishtanks.
A lot of it is treated with chemicals that are great for fishes but toxic when heated :(
