Help anyone, what is investment, I gather it is something to do with when your are soldering multiple pieces......please someone tell me.

i would link that to casting. investment or investing as i am taking is the substance you use to pour over wax and then burn it out once set the pour the gold into it.

looks like plaster of paris and comes in powder form the add water to set it off.
