I think a lot of people sell on Etsy or Folksy. Would that be a good place to start? What sort of jewellery do you do?

I'd also recommend starting with places like Etsy, Folksy, Coriandr, Artfire, MISI etc. - at those venues you usually pay a small fee to list an item for sale for a particular period of time, usually 3 or 4 months, then you pay a percentage of the sale price in commission as it sells.

So you can get up and running very quickly, you just need some good photos of your items, measurements and a description, so you can offer it for sale with minimal outlay.

This is my shop on Etsy to give you an idea how it works:

As for pricing, you usually come to a retail price depending on the price of materials and all other direct expenses (packaging, labels etc.), how long it took to make at your intended hourly wage, plus some more for indirect costs and overheads. This is a pretty good easy formula for pricing that I'd bookmarked - there are more complex ones if you're running it at a business properly and need to cover all your working costs - but this is good to give you a quick initial price - see the right hand column: Some Formulas To Help You Price Your Pieces:

Boo's put some really useful stuff there and here's a few links you might also find useful. They are well worth reading as time spent reading, will save you money in the long term.
