I've been looking at magnetic polishers today and can't work out what the difference is between the mega expensive ones and the cheaper ones, one would assume that the more expensive ones are much more effective and better quality, but having spoken to a supplier today they say it is all down to volume and the amount of jewellery it can polish in one go!

Has anybody any experience using these or any recommendations?

That's basically it, it all depends of volume of work the small ones tend not to be able to do large amounts of work at one time also on experience the cheap cheap ones don't last long.I will say they are good.Hope this helps

Do the magnetic ones polish any better than tumblers?

Having read a few articles on the pros and cons, it would appear that the magnetic polishers are far superior when it comes to polishing items with fine details (and much quicker) , and big flat shineys are more suited to a tumbler, I intend to use both, when the mag polisher I want comes back into stock at Rio Grande!!
