Does anyone know why i now seem to be getting a slightly satin finish instead of a high shine on my pieces in the barrell polisher? it's only happening on ss sheet though, wire is coming out just fine !?

it's only been happening on my last few polishes, i've changed the barrell brite, washed everything etc etc!!????!!!!!

Hi Bridget it ifs flat ss sheet then it will not take on the same shine as wire in fact if its sheet of any kind domed etc it will not be as shiny as Wire and say a reticulated piece :)

Are you pre-polishing the sheet? I only tumble sheet after I've already hand finished pieces with micromesh.

Anything with a flat surface area comes out satiny (almost pitted) for me too. I thought it was because I was leaving it in too long - now I don't leave anything in there more than a couple of hours, but it still happens with larger pieces.

I'm sure someone here said to give it a good going over with rouge and a soft mop first them tumble it.
