Hi, I'm Ali and I live over in wet and windy Cambridge. Have been lurking for a little while reading all the advice.

I've dabbled a bit with stringing beads and so on, but in September I started a 'proper' silver evening class and I'm getting hopelessly hooked. Trouble is, I want to make everything right now and my head is spinning with all the possibilities...quite where I'm going with it, I don't know, but just loving it.

I have put various tools sets/soldering equipment on my Christmas list and am hoping I might have a mini-studio setup after that.

Er, hello!!

Er, hello!!

I could have written that last year, jewellery IS NOT a hobby it is a habit. A word of advice cut up all credit and debit cards and delete all links to any jewellery sites.

I've found lots of really good advice and tips on the forum, there are quite a few of us newbies.

Hi Ali :~:

:welcome: from me too. I'm also going down the route of working with silver, having been a beading enthusiast. Its very addictive being on the forum, but well worth it for picking peoples brains and having lots of laughs. Looking forward to seeing some of your work in the coming weeks...
