Hello just wanting to know if anyone has any experience or knowledge about a channel setting machine that i saw available on a website. Basically i want to know whether it is any good and worth getting for a basic novice like me to use it.

This compact stone fixing machine offers you the possibility to set stone on plate, in tubes and single and double channels, prong setting and bezel setting, with diamonds and synthetic stones.

* Easy to operate, no special graduated people are required.
* Can be used for piece work as well as
for serial work.
* Fast to operate and with a continuous

Im just a beginner and have lots of diamonds and precious jemstones but very limited experience of setting them and have done research and that if you are not carefull you can damage and chip your diamonds, so am looking for a quick and easy way to do this.

Not sure whether im allowed to post the link on here where the machine is available from but if requested and allowed i will.

If it's the Buko machine it looks very good and I know people in the Jewellery Quarter who have them - mine's on order at the moment for delivery in about 4 weeks.

You would need a method of accurately cutting your channel for channel setting and your diamonds need to be sized accurately for both channel and single stone setting.
