Did anyone keep a copy of the technical data sheet for brilliante? It seems to have vanished from the knowledgebase, and I've just found a load of wire that I could actually use if I could harden it a bit - I know it's heat hardenable, and have a recollection of 300 degrees for four hours? But I could be horribly wrong, and would prefer not to waste the lot.

I never really got on with brilliante, but at least I'd be able to make use of one of my expensive mistakes this way.

I found this on Ganoskin, George:

Apparently the alloy can also be
age hardened -- at 300 C for 4-6 hours, and has Britannia-like
properties with regard to deformation before requiring annealing (80%
reduction).
here's the link (http://www.ganoksin.com/orchid/archive/200706/msg00282.htm)

I saw that article too Di, just after I posted the q - thank you for confirming it for me :) I still wonder what happened to the datasheets though ;) Especially as Brilliante is still being sold on the site.

Yes - I wonder if it has anything to do with pushing Argentium ;)
