Hi all, I will be having some mokume sheet delievered shortly, are there any special rules to using it. The design I have in mind will use basic piercing, and possibly a small amount of torch work, how should I treat it..like silver or like copper, many thanks.......W.75..x

If it's copper/fine silver, it should work much the same as silver (er - or copper). No real issues on the different metals work hardening at different rates in that blend, thankfully! Other mixes vary - for a copper/brass mokume, the copper extrudes more as it's being formed and you can end up with interlayer separation due to the shear strain involved.

Soldering can be interesting though - I usually use lower temp solders with mokume because of the eutectic alloy that forms; it has (by definition!) a lower melting point than either of the parent metals.

HTH.
