Hi,
I thought it was time to introduce myself since I've been lurking for a while!
I'm Sharon, and I live in Loxley, Sheffield. I'm hoping to start up my own jewellery business soon, and I'm really glad I found this forum.
At the moment I mostly work with metal clay, but I'm starting to work with sterling silver too. There's so much to learn! (And I've spent so much money here!)

Hi elliboo, welcome.

Forget the clay and precious metals, Titanium is where the money is! :)

OOh! and watch out for some of them on here - they're sometimes more interested in what your wearing that the beautiful creations you produce.
(Mentioning no names!) :~:

Hi Sharon and :welcome: - (I refuse to go christmassy in the middle of November![-X) I hope you have a great time as part of this forum...loads of lovely people and never ending amazement about how much there is to learn!

Tip of the day...(I read on here yesterday) You only need to go as far as the local pet shop to pick up a classy rawhide mallet! Indeed - you can make 2 or 3 out of each dog chew you purchase!! - I bet you didn't know that before finding this forum!! ....consider yourself ejookatid!!!:-D

LOL! Thanks for making me feel welcome! It's never too early for Christmassy smilies :)

Sorry to disappoint, I know it's only 8:45 but I'm already in my pjs after a veeeeery long day of profit/loss calculations, business plans and sales forecasting - I think I'll have to get an accountant!!

Wish I'd known about the rawhide mallet tips sooner - although I think I'd have to wrestle my Newfoundland for the rawhide chew!!

Hi Sharon :welcome: to the forum
Looks like you have a gorgeous "rawhide mallet" softnening assistant ;)
I'm a silver clay and sterling girl with a sprinkling of gold, palladium and argentium.
Now playing with Bronze and Coppper too. haven't turned to the "Dark Side" of fashioning Titanium though...
(have you seen the Geti avatar with Titanium pieces flying in all directions) rofl
