At last, after countless delays for one thing and another I've finally finished my first piece. This will be used with three others to make up a necklace that I hope to do sometime this week - work permitting.

Unfortunately it's a bit too late to set things up properly so the picture is a bit darker than in real life and the contrasts in colour aren't as good as they could be. Considering I didn't have the faintest ideas what I was doing when I started them I'm quite pleased with the results.

I hope you like it.

That looks really great Annie. How do you plan to attach them to your necklace design?

Do you think you have cracked the copperclay firing process now then...or are you itching to try the new carbon free firing one??

That's lovely Annie. Did you do cake decorating in a former life?

I'm not sure if it's tue love after just one date but I do have that nice warm feeling so I'm sure we'll be spending more time together. You never know I may get on well with the relatives as well when we are introduced.

Nice! :Y: =D>

How big is it, is it heavy? And do you have to fire it in a kiln or can you use a torch?

Each rose is about 1.5cm across and they aren't much heavier than lampwork beads.

Unfortunately with this type of copper clay it has to be kiln fired in carbon. It's a long process but I think it's worth it, especially if you put several pieces in at once.

I've almost finished the necklace they are going in, just need to decide the final order of things lol
