Hi all
my names stu and i make jewellery as a hobby mostly for family and friends.
do a little bit of bead work as well but prefer silver and gold.

work in a forge doing iron work and blacksmithing for a living.

silverwork is the same only smaller and easier.

Hello :~: I did some blacksmithing as part of my degree, great fun and the idea was to then apply that to smaller scale work :) Love forged and hammered stuff

Hi Stu! :~: I agree with you. I'd rather be a silversmith than a blacksmith! I did a bit at college and it was really HARD! It's great to have you onboard though.:Y:

Hi Stu,
I did a bit of blacksmithing at Uni and ended up with a one sided sun tan from the heat!!
in case no-one has guessed from some of my other posts, Im a bit clumsy!!

welcome from me too Stu - you're not thatfar from me either. Do you do your smithing in Yate too?

I work for a forge about 9 miles away from yate.
I'm not a very good black smith as i'm self taught.
but i'am getting better.
dont really use the forge as much as i'd like as we only use it really for
making scrolls and a few other finishing touches on the gates and railings.

(once i've posted enough times i will post picture of a tree i made for a local school.)
